One Nation leader Pauline Hanson has indicated her quartet of senators will back changes that would force young people to wait four weeks for the dole.

Senator Hanson told ABC radio on Tuesday she thought a wait period was "very wise" and believed a month was not long enough.

The government would still have to win over Nick Xenophon's three senators - who are undecided - to get the measure through the upper house.
