As the deadly Ebola virus continues to affect parts of West Africa, the Red Cross is calling on Australians to help combat the epidemic.

'One step behind' ebola: ICRC

The biggest outbreak of Ebola in four decades has claimed more than 1200 lives since it surfaced in Guinea in March.

 

Australian Red Cross aid worker Amanda McClelland is based in Sierra Leone.

 

She's told Biwa Kwan authorities are still one step behind the outbreak.
