One-week ban for Springboks lock De Jager

Springboks forward Lood De Jager cops a one-week ban for his dangerous charge on All Blacks prop Wyatt Crockett.

Springboks lock Lood De Jager has been suspended for a week following a dangerous charge during the 57-15 loss to the All Blacks in Durban.

The 23-year-old pleaded guilty at a Sanzaar judicial hearing to taking out prop Wyatt Crockett without the use of his arms in the 72nd minute.

New Zealand scored three of their nine tries while De Jager was off the field.

He will miss South Africa's next game against the Barbarians at Twickenham on November 5.
