Online job ads rose 2.8pc in April

New figures show a pick-up in demand for workers.

The Department of Employment says job advertisements posted on the internet increased by 2.8 per cent in April, and vacancies in all eight occupational groups it monitors rose during the month.

Over the year, job vacancies rose by six per cent.
