Unseeded Reilly Opelka and qualifier Brayden Schnur have caused upsets in the semi-finals of the ATP Tour's New York Open to set up an unlikely final.
American Reilly Opelka got the better of top seed John Isner 6-7 (8-10) 7-6 (16-14) 7-6 (7-4) in a two-and-a-half encounter in which their huge serves dominated.
Neither player managed to break serve, with just three opportunities all match, as Opelka served 43 aces to Isner's 38.
Opelka, 21, who beat world No.9, Isner in the first round of the Australian Open last month, saved six match points as he triumphed against his countryman.
Canadian Schnur continued his dream run with a 7-6 (9-7) 4-6 6-3 victory over sixth seed Sam Querrey.
Schnur previously dismissed third seed Steve Johnson and prevailed in the longest match of the tournament against Paolo Lorenzi.
