Telco Optus has secured a three-year wholesale mobile deal with Vocus Communications.

The new wholesale mobile agreement extends an 11-year relationship with M2 Group, which merged with Vocus in February.

Optus wholesale managing director Rob Parcell said the deal was a "terrific win for Optus Wholesale and would extend services" for Vocus's consumer brands, Dodo and iPrimus, as well as the group's small-to-medium business brand, Commander.

Optus - which is owned by Singapore Telecommunications - has invested more than $1 billion annually over the past 10 years on its network to further deepen and expand coverage, Mr Parcell said.

No financial details on the Vocus contract were released.
