Outfoxed by a can, this critter says thank you for being rescued

A baby fox has lingered for a few pats and an affectionate lick to say "thank you" for being rescued from a tin can.

A curious fox has been caught on camera - and with a can on his head.

The kit, which had been snacking on pet food leftovers only to become snared, was discovered in a backyard in Bromley, south east London.

“I was always finding empty pet food cans at the end of the garden,” the resident wrote on YouTube. “I suspect after the foxes raid dustbins they take their plunder to somewhere they think is safer to eat it: my garden!”

The man quickly removes the tin and shares a special moment with the baby fox, before it crawls through a hole in the fence.

There are an estimated 33,000 urban foxes throughout the United Kingdom's towns and cities, and there are thought to be 16 per square mile (1.6km) alone.
