Pair in toddler shooting to apply for bail

A man and a woman in Queensland charged over the January shooting of a toddler are expected to find out if they will get bail.

A 28-year-old man and a 29-year-old woman charged over the shooting of a toddler with a home-made gun in January are expected to apply for bail.

Police allege the three-year-old girl sustained a serious leg injury as a result of a gunshot on January 7 at Morayfield, north of Brisbane.

The pair, charged with grievous bodily harm and unlawful possession of a weapon, appeared in Caboolture Magistrates Court on Monday where the case was adjourned.

They were remanded in custody to appear on Tuesday when they are expected to apply for bail.
