Pakistan-Zimbabwe play despite bombing

Pakistan Cricket Board spokesman Agha Akbar says the third and final ODI against Zimbabwe will go ahead despite Friday's suicide bombing.

The third and final one-day international between Pakistan and Zimbabwe will go ahead on Sunday despite a suicide bomber blowing himself up close to Gaddafi Stadium during Friday night's ODI.

Pakistan Cricket Board spokesman Agha Akbar says "the incident hasn't affected the tour and Zimbabwe will play its last match as planned" at the stadium.

Information minister Pervez Rashid told Geo TV on Saturday a police officer was killed and six were wounded in the incident.

A loud explosion was heard inside the stadium and initially police claimed it was caused by electric transformer in an apparent bid to avoid panic with at least 20,000 spectators at the match.
