Labor leader Annastacia Palaszczuk has left a meeting with Queensland's governor without speaking to media.
Ms Palaszczuk made a courtesy call to Governor Paul De Jersey on Tuesday afternoon.
The Labor leader was believed to be speaking with Mr de Jersey about her ability to form the state's next government.
But her car emerged 40 minutes later without stopping for her to talk to awaiting journalists.
A spokesperson for Governor de Jersey took to Twitter to confirm the meeting had taken place about 10 minutes after Ms Palaszczuk left his residence.
"This afternoon the Governor received Opposition Leader @AnnastaciaMP to discuss #qldvotes2015," the spokesperson wrote.
With Campbell Newman visiting the governor to formally resign earlier in the day, Liberal National Party leader Lawrence Springborg is the only major party leader to have not visited the governor yet.
Labor has claimed 44 seats and with the support of independent Peter Wellington, has the 45 required to form a minority government in the 89-seat parliament.
However, one of those is the Brisbane-electorate of Ferny Grove, which could go to a by-election after the Palmer United Party candidate was ruled ineligible.
Ms Palaszczuk has been reluctant, so far, to go to Mr de Jersey to try to form government.
Dozens of seats were being declared on Tuesday, but the electoral commissioner is due to report the results and hand the writ back to the governor on Friday.
It is still uncertain when Governor de Jersey will call on a party to form government.
Ms Palaszczuk also met with the state's two Katter's Australian Party MPs on Tuesday to listen to what they want for their support in order to form a minority government.
