A former Palmer United Party senator says Clive Palmer kept his representatives in Canberra on a very close leash and they had to accept his decisions.
Glenn Lazarus has spoken out about the man who helped him get elected, saying once he came to Canberra Mr Palmer kept him and other senators in the dark on issues and negotiations.
"He would just come in and say he'd been working with the government and he'd done the deal and we pretty much had to suck it up," the now independent told ABC radio on Tuesday.
