Adam Scott says the 2017 Masters champions dinner had an 'emotional' focus on legendary golfer Arnold Palmer at Augusta National on Tuesday night (Wednesday AEDT).

As the 2013 Masters winner, 36-year-old Scott was invited to the traditional dinner for past green jacket winners at Augusta National and, as defending champion England's Danny Willett chose the menu.

Willett, only the second Englishman to win the year's first major in 2016, served up an English pub-style Sunday roast, Yorkshire pudding and gravy with apple crumble for dessert.

Queenslander Scott said it was special to listen to some of Augusta's greatest champions tell stories about four-time Masters winner Palmer, who died aged 87 in September.

"It was a great night. Lots of laughs. I think it was one of the more relaxed evenings I've been to," said Scott, the world No.9.

"There was a big focus on Arnie, and rightly so. He was really missed.

"For a moment, we all had those emotions but once the stories stories from the older guys were told it became a celebration it and a fun atmosphere.

"They (Willett and wife Nicole) did a good job. The food was nice; quite hearty with a lot of meat and the dessert was nice too."

Bad weather again reared its head at Augusta on Wednesday with practice suspended just after 10am local time following a similar delay on Monday.
