Australian veteran Rod Pampling will be heading back to the US PGA Tour fulltime at the age of 46 after securing a card through the secondary web.com Tour.

Pampling confirmed his PGA Tour status for next season by finishing in the top 25 money earners after the web.com regular season wound up in Portland on Sunday (Monday AEST).

The Queenslander was a regular on the main tour for 12 years and won twice - in 2004 and 2006 - before slipping to hold only partial status the past two seasons.

The $US121,500 ($A169,847) he earned for winning the BMW Charity Pro-am tournament in May made up the bulk of his $US186,632 in prizemoney to be 17th on the web.com Tour money list.

The exact ranking of his tour card will be determined by results in the web.com Tour playoffs series for the top 75 players where a further 25 cards will also be handed out.
