Fremantle will be aiming to regain their mojo when they take on struggling Brisbane in Sunday's AFL clash at Domain Stadium.
The Dockers have been off the boil over the past month, losing at home to Richmond before scraping to wins against Gold Coast and Collingwood.
Coach Ross Lyon has been particularly critical of his team's forward-line mechanics during that period.
Lyon says the goalless run of skipper Matthew Pavlich over the past three games is because of teammates crowding him in when they should be giving him space to work his magic.
The recall of Matt Taberner and Zac Clarke means Fremantle will revert to their more familiar forward set-up this week.
Lyon hopes it won't be long before his team regains the scoring potency they displayed earlier this season.
"I don't think perfection exists, but we are trying to get it right and we had it right for a fair period of the year," Lyon said.
"We acknowledge that we have slipped and we need to improve.
"It's really good that we are not playing our best footy but we are still winning against some pretty good teams. That is the positive I take out of it."
Brisbane have mustered just two wins from 12 games this season, and they face a stiff task of ending a seven-match losing run against the Dockers.
Vice-captain Pearce Hanley (hamstring), Ryan Harwood (calf), and Stefan Martin (suspended) have been ruled out for the Lions, while Tom Cutler was dropped.
Ryan Lester, Brent Staker, Darcy Gardiner, and Sam Mayes were handed recalls.
