Pauli Pauli signs fresh Super League deal

Former Parramatta and Newcastle forward Pauli Pauli has signed a new deal for 2019 with Super League club Wakefield.

Wakefield's giant forward Pauli Pauli has signed a new contract for 2019.

The 24-year-old former Newcastle forward, who tips the scales at 120kg and stands 193cm tall, has made a big impression on Trinity in Super League this year after playing in all but three of their 18 matches so far.

"I don't want to go home right now," Pauli said. "I am enjoying my time here in England and at the club right now."

The City NSW representative left the NRL last year following two seasons each with Parramatta and the Knights.

"It is great that Pauli has signed for a further year," Wakefield coach Chris Chester said.

"He has worked hard in training and his efforts have really shown over the past couple of months. I look forward to seeing him grow as a player over the next year."
