Fremantle have named captain Matthew Pavlich and David Mundy for Sunday's AFL Western Derby against West Coast.

Two of the Dockers' most important players needed scans on Monday, with Pavlich nursing an Achilles problem and Mundy in some doubt because of a sore ankle.

As expected, the Dockers regained star onballer Nat Fyfe (groin), while Michael Johnson (hamstring) is also back.

They will come in for Alex Silvagni and Lachie Weller.

West Coast must win to stay clear of third-placed Hawthorn and this is the biggest game in derby history.

But the Eagles will again be without top ruckman Nic Naitanui, who is out for another week after the death of his mother.

On Friday, Naitanui posted an emotional tribute after her funeral in Fiji.

"There's no words that can describe the angel this world has lost," he said on Instagram.

"Mum you sacrificed everything and struggled for us kids and I'm forever thankful for all you've done.

"This past week I've cried myself to sleep for you and my heart will never stop hurting.

"Today as we buried you in your village that pain is eased. I will forever endeavor to be half the person you were.

"Your legacy will live on through the many lives you've touched and I just want you to be proud of me. I love you so much mum!"

The Eagles made three changes, losing Mark LeCras (suspension), Scott Selwood (ankle) and Jeremy McGovern (hamstring).

Josh Hill, Jamie Bennell and Callum Sinclair will take their places.

Melbourne have lost Dom Tyson with a hamstring injury for Sunday's Etihad Stadium game against the Western Bulldogs and Christian Salem will take his place.

Bulldogs captain Rob Murphy is back and Bailey Dale was dropped.

Richmond star Brett Deledio will also return from illness for Sunday's MCG match against Gold Coast.

The Tigers also recalled Matt Thomas and Steve Morris, while ruckman Shaun Hampson was dropped.

Dylan Grimes and Reece Conca are out with hamstring injuries.

The Suns also made three changes, bringing in Charlie Cameron, Jarrod Garlett and Josh Hall for Trent McKenzie (hamstring), Sean Lemmens and Henry Schade.
