African Union peacekeepers in the Central African Republic are being accused of involvement in enforced disappearances.

A peacekeeping force, known as MISCA, has been trying to stop fighting between Christian vigilante groups and the mainly Muslim Seleka rebels.

The New York-based organisation, Human Rights Watch, says MISCA troops have been involved in a number of disappearances of Christians.

Spokesman Peter Bouckaert told Santilla Chingaipe it's a worrying sign.
