Pension reform proposals to be considered

Social Services Minister Scott Morrison says he will seriously consider proposed changes to the pension that have been put forward by the Australian Council of Social Services.

Social Services Minister Scott Morrison says he will seriously consider proposed changes to the pension that have been put forward by the Australian Council of Social Services.

ACOSS has called on the government to drop its plans to link pension increases to inflation from 2017.

Instead, it has suggested tightening the assets test to make it more difficult for people to qualify for the part-pension.
