Personal finance rose 1.7% in October

Official data shows personal finance loans rose 1.7 per cent in October.

Personal finance loans were up 1.7 per cent in October.

The Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) on Friday said personal finance commitments, seasonally-adjusted, rose to $7.839 billion in October, from $7.705 billion in September.

But total commercial loans fell 3.9 per cent to $34.341 billion, from $35.729 billion in September.

Lease finance was up 1.1 per cent to $383 million, compared with $379 million the previous month.

And housing finance for owner occupiers rose 1.7 per cent to $16.185 billion, from $15.914 billion the month before.
