Perth man bashed, tied up in car boot

Police are searching for three men who bashed a man, 35, tied him up and locked him in the boot of his car before abandoning it in a sports field car park.

West Australian police are searching for three men who bashed a 35-year-old man then locked him in the boot of his car in Perth's northeastern suburbs.

The victim was walking through bushland near Cockman Cross in Stratton at about 8pm (WST) on Sunday when he became involved in a verbal altercation with three men who approached him from a nearby oval.

They bashed him unconscious and he woke to find himself tied up in the boot of his vehicle.

Police believe he was driven around for about 20 minutes before the vehicle was left in the car park of the Charlie Hodder Baseball Field on Patterson Drive in Middle Swan.

A member of the public heard the man yelling from the boot of his car and called police.

He was taken to hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

One offender is described as being olive skinned, with a slim build, dark hair with zig-zags cut into it and thick stubble on his face.

The second offender is described as being aged 17 to 19, olive skinned, about 183cm tall and of a very slim build.

The third offender is described as being about 25 years of age, olive skinned, of solid build and about 188cm tall.

Police have called for information from anyone who saw the incident or anything suspicious in the area on Sunday night.

They are also particularly interested in speaking to two young men and a young woman who spoke with the victim prior to the attack.
