Perth Mint says a new agreement allowing the Australian Crime Commission access to documents is not related to any investigation.
The access came through an agreement between federal Justice Minister Michael Keenan and WA Premier Colin Barnett, gazetted on Friday.
Gold Corporation, which uses the trading name Perth Mint, buys the bulk of gold ore produced in WA and refines it into bars and coins for sale.
The arrangement gives the ACC powers to "request or require information, documents or things relevant to an ACC investigation-operation held by a ... state or territory agency".
It will enable ACC examiners to request documents relating to Gold Corporation, WA Mint, GoldCorp Australia and subsidiaries.
The documents relate to account holders, transaction histories and staff details including "information pertaining to allegations of integrity issues arising during employment".
Gold Corporation's manager of corporate governance David Koch told AAP it was a "formal co-operative agreement" for the exchange of information in any future ACC investigation involving the corporation.
"It has not been established in response to any specific ACC investigation," Mr Koch said.
