A 51-year-old Perth woman is facing charges after allegedly hurling racial insults and threatening a Congolese family with a crowbar.

The woman reportedly got into a dispute with the family, who live next door, after an argument over children playing noisily.

The Facebook video showed a woman approach several men in a driveway.

In the video, the woman allegedly calls the family “monkeys” and tells them to “get back to where you come from”.

She then appears to lunge at them with a crowbar, but is pushed back by several men. The altercation ends with the woman receiving a bloody eye.

According to reports, the man who posted the video is a refugee from Congo and has been in Australia for eight years.

The woman will appear in Perth Magistrates Court on April 8.
