Australia is home to migrants from across the world, but many leave families behind when they relocate.

An online petition, that's attracted over 11,000 signatures, is calling on the Immigration Minister to introduce a visa that allows parents of migrants to stay in Australia for two years continuously.

Currently, parents who want to visit family can stay for one year.

Arvind Duggal is one of the people behind the petition told Adeshola Ore about the current parental visa arrangements.
