The man of the match in Saturday's National Rugby Championship final will receive the Phil Waugh Medal.
The Australian Rugby Union on Friday announced the award in honour of the former NSW Waratahs captain, who played 79 Tests for the Wallabies.
NSW Country Eagles and Perth Spirit will meet in this year's NRC final in Tamworth.
Waugh will also form part of the judging panel to determine the Medal winner.
