Collingwood have bolstered their ruck stocks ahead of Sunday's clash against GWS, with Jarrod Witts returning to the side.
Witts was rested last week, but returns to partner Brodie Grundy as the young ruck tandem takes on in-form ruckman Shane Mumford.
Grundy was taken to hospital on Friday after suffering a blow to the head at training. Tests cleared him of serious damage, with the club to give him until Saturday to prove he is fit to play.
Taylor Adams returns from injury to face his old side, with Paul Seedsman dropped just weeks after winning the Anzac Day Medal in the Pies' win over Essendon.
Jarryd Blair is out with an ankle injury.
The Giants brought in Nick Haynes at the expense of Aidan Corr for Sunday's clash at the MCG.
Important defender Sam Gilbert makes a welcome return for St Kilda when they take on Melbourne in Sunday's other match.
The 28-year-old will play his first game of the season having overcome a persistent foot injury.
He comes into the side with Maverick Weller, Luke Dunstan, Tim Membrey and Darren Minchington.
Adam Schneider and Jack Sinclair are among the players to drop out of the side having been forced back to the rookie list by the returns of Arryn Siposs and Daniel Markworth from the long-term injury list.
The Demons have added ex-Giant Dom Tyson and former skipper Jack Grimes for the match, along with Billy Stretch, Viv Michie and Alex Neal-Bullen, who will make his AFL debut.
Jack Fitzpatrick, Matt Jones and Ben Newton were all omitted.
