Piggy thief runs off with legs of ham

A man is on the run with 12 legs of ham after a brazen pork heist from a Victorian supermarket.

A thief has made a real pig of himself after stealing 12 legs of ham from a Victorian supermarket.

Police say the man is "hogging the Christmas cheer", after walking into a supermarket in Kialla, near Shepparton, on November 11 and loading up a trolley with the hams before running off.

He is also wanted in relation to liquor thefts and is believed to be driving a car with South Australian number plates, police said on Friday.
