Plane crashes at Vic's Moorabbin Airport

A small plane has crashed at Victoria's Moorabbin Airport but the two people on board have escaped serious injury.

Two people have escaped serious injury after their aircraft crashed while landing at Victoria's Moorabbin Airport.

The single-engine plane crashed on landing on the centre runway at the airport in suburban Melbourne on Tuesday morning.

Ambulance Victoria said the two people on board did not suffer any serious injuries.

The plane was sprayed with foam by the MFB and other emergency services after a significant fuel leak was discovered.

The MFB said the plane did not catch alight and the incident is now under control.
