Play School will feature a boy with two dads, more than 10 years after they controversially featured lesbian mums.
The ABC children's TV program put a call-out to find a number of families to feature on the show's through the windows segment.
A child with two dads was just one of the featured families, which included an adopted family, an extended family, a blended family and an Indigenous family.
The two-dad family has since been cast, with the ABC expecting to release more information on the shows' content soon.

"The focus of the through the windows segments is always on the child and the favourite activities they love to do with their families, the emphasis being on spending time together," Play School executive producer Jan Stradling told Guardian Australia.
Play School has featured a child from a gay family before.
Puberty Blues actress Brenna Harding was featured on the show in 2004, playing in the park with her two mums.
The actress took out the Most Popular New Female Talent Logie in 2013, and thanked her parents for their support.
Brenna's segment sparked a national debate, with the then Prime Minister John Howard calling the decision to feature lesbian mums "foolish".
