A new report highlights the plight of women human rights defenders in Afghanistan.
The report -Their Lives On The Line - by Amnesty International shows women face mounting violence - including threats, sexual assault and assassinations.
It documents how female doctors, teachers, lawyers, police and journalists, have been targeted by the Taliban, warlords and government officials.
Amnesty's Ming Yu spoke to Zara Zaher about the report, calling on the Australian government to do more to ease their situation.
