Prime Minister Tony Abbott has returned to a favourite election campaign spot to spruik his government's first 100 days in office.
And blame Labor for most of the coalition's early woes.
Mr Abbott was on the Great Ocean Road in Victoria on Monday to make good on an election promise to upgrade the landmark thoroughfare.
The road runs through the electorate of Corangamite, which the coalition won from Labor.
Holding a booklet outlining the coalition's early record, Mr Abbott insisted his government was purposefully, carefully and methodically putting in place good policies.
"We are doing what we said we would do," he said.
The prime minister's only and "deep" regret about what some have seen as a shambolic start to government is Labor's determination to prevent the coalition from implementing its promises.
"Everything we are proposing Labor is opposing," he said.
Mr Abbott took aim at Bill Shorten, saying the opposition leader's strategy was to blame the new government for everything and obstruct its legislation.
The opposition might think that was a clever political tactic but it showed to the public that Labor was still in denial about the election result, he said.
