Five months after a popular Sydney truckie was bludgeoned to death in his own home, police have released images of two men they believe can help with their investigation.

Keith Cini, 69, and his wife, Lucy, were beaten up by intruders in their Badgerys Creek home in Sydney's west in the early hours of May 30.

Police arrived to find Mr Cini dead and Lucy, also in her 60s, suffering head injuries and a broken wrist.

At the time, Detective Inspector Hans Rupp said he believed up to three offenders were involved and used clubs in the attack.

Mr Cini, who left behind two daughters, operated Keith Cini Pty Ltd freight company and a piggery from his semi-rural property.

A strike force was set up to investigate his death and police are keen to speak to two men seen at a service station in Narellan the night before the murder.

Police said the men headed to the Badgerys Creek area in a light-coloured sedan during the early hours of May 30.

"This investigation is going very well and we're confident we are getting closer to finding the people responsible for Mr Cini's murder," Detective Superintendent Mick Willing said on Friday.

"No doubt there are many people out there who will recognise these two men. If you do, please do the right thing and get in touch by contacting Crime Stoppers."

Family, friends and work colleagues were in shock over the brutal bashing of Mr Cini, who was describe as "irreplaceable".

"I couldn't talk of any better man," Mr Cini's best friend, Charlie Zahra said just after his death.

One man is described as being of Caucasian appearance, aged in his early to mid-20s, thin of build and with blond or light brown hair. In the photo he is wearing a baseball cap back-to-front.

The second man is also of Caucasian appearance. He is aged in his 20s, is between 180cm and 190cm tall and has a slim build.

In the photo, he is wearing a dark baseball cap, a blue jumper and dark pants.
