Tasmanian police could investigate an alleged clash between North Melbourne coach Brad Scott and a security guard during last Saturday's AFL match in Hobart.
The Kangaroos have confirmed they are looking into the matter.
"Tasmania Police are aware of a possible incident and if a complainant comes forward and makes a complaint then we will investigate," Inspector John Ward told AAP on Monday night.
Scott's team easily beat Richmond on Saturday at Hobart's Blundstone Arena.
"North Melbourne are aware of the claims made by a security guard at Blundstone Arena," the club said in a statement.
"The club is gathering all available information in order to prepare a response.
"No further comment can be made at this time."
Also on Monday, SA Police were in Melbourne to speak to Hawthorn coach Alastair Clarkson about his clash with a member of the public after last month's loss to Port Adelaide.
Clarkson gave the fan a shove outside the team hotel and the incident was caught on camera.
The Hawks coach and the team's football manager Chris Fagan said three intoxicated men had harassed them for photos as they walked back to the team hotel from Adelaide Oval.
Clarkson pushed one of the men after he moved close to the Hawks coach, who later said he regretted the incident.
