Police dog catches fleeing Adelaide pair

A man and woman who fled police and hid in a yard in Adelaide's west have been sniffed out and by a police dog.

A police dog has sniffed out a man and woman who fled police following a car chase in Adelaide's west.

The dog found the pair hiding in a yard after their car failed to stop for police in Royal Park early on Thursday.

The car, which swiped the police vehicle while doing a u-turn during the chase, was later found dumped at a primary school 6km away.

The woman was bitten during the incident and treated in hospital and the man has been taken to Port Adelaide police station.
