Police are searching for nine Canterbury fans in relation to crowd violence after the Bulldogs-Rabbitohs Good Friday match at Sydney Olympic Park.

Four people have been identified since police released 13 images from the game, when NRL officials were pelted with plastic bottles and other projectiles as they left the field.

Fans were furious after a decision to award South Sydney a match-winning, last-gasp penalty.

The identified supporters are helping police with investigations.

Anyone who has photos or video from the match can upload the digital files anonymously to Crime Stoppers.

Those found guilty of throwing projectiles face possible bans from Sydney Olympic Park and the NRL has raised the possibility of life bans.
