Police make 35 drug arrests at Atlantis music festival

Sniffer dogs have helped police make 35 drug arrests at the Atlantis Music Festival in Melbourne.

Police have arrested 35 people following a drug detection operation using sniffer dogs at the Atlantis Music Festival in Melbourne.

Drugs seized at Friday night's event at Hisense Arena included Ecstasy, Amphetamine, Cocaine, Cannabis, GHB and MDMA and those arrested included 30 men and five women, most aged between 18 and 25.

Four were charged and bailed, 28 were given diversions, one cannabis caution was issued and one person is expected to be charged on summons.

Police said a 19-year-old man was found with 22 ecstasy tablets and one gram of cocaine.

A search warrant was then conducted at a Boronia address where a further 15 ecstasy tablets were located.

The man has been charged and bailed with two counts of traffick ecstasy, two counts of possess ecstasy and one count of possess cocaine.

Police said a 19-year-old Coburg man was found in possession of 97 MDMA capsules and was charged with traffick and possess MDMA.
