Police search for missing 17yo Mt Isa boy

Police say Kyle Coleman's family and friends are concerned because his disappearance is out of character for the 17-year-old Mt Isa boy.

Queensland police are looking for a 17-year-old boy who went missing in Mount Isa in early on Saturday.

Kyle Coleman was last seen about 6am on Saturday when he left a house in Soldiers Hill for the 3km walk to his home in Parkside.

Police say his family and friends are concerned that he failed to arrive and his disappearance is out of character.

Kyle was last seen wearing a black T-shirt with a white motif, a white flat Obey cap, a pair of red board shorts and skate shoes.

He is Caucasian with sandy coloured short hair, brown eyes, of a slim build and approximately 173cm tall. He may have been carrying a green sleeping swag and backpack.

Police are asking anyone with information to contact their local police station or Crime Stoppers.
