Police seize $2.5m of 'ice' in Burwood

A 40-year-old Hells Angels associate has been arrested after police found more than $2.5 million worth of methylamphetamine at his Cabarita home.

Police have seized more than $2.5 million worth of methylamphetamine, known as "ice", from the home of a Hells Angels associate in Sydney's inner west.

During a search of a Cabarita home on Tuesday over a firearms matter, police found a small amount of cannabis and 2.65kg of methylamphetamine, with an estimated street value of approximately $2.5 million, in a car parked at the residence.

An additional 100g of brown paste and 60g of blue powder - believed to be prohibited drugs - were also found.

Police say the 40-year-old man also tried to bribe police officers.

The man was arrested and taken to Burwood Police Station where he was charged with trying to bribe police.

He was refused bail and will appear in Burwood Local Court later on Wednesday.
