Policeman charged with domestic violence

A NSW police sergeant will appear in court after being charged with a domestic violence offence for an incident that occurred while he was off-duty.

A NSW police officer has been stood down after being charged with a domestic violence offence.

The male sergeant, attached to a corporate services command, was involved in an incident while off duty on Friday night, police say.

He's been charged with stalking or intimidating intending to cause fear or physical harm.

He's due to appear in Burwood Local Court on June 27.

No one was injured during the incident.
