The NSW Waratahs say they will give Tatafu Polota-Nau the final call if he is cleared by doctors to play in Saturday night's Super Rugby match against the Sharks.

Wallabies hooker Polota-Nau, who has a history of concussions, met with specialists on Tuesday morning after being knocked out for the second time this season during the Waratahs' win over the Brumbies this month.

He missed last Saturday's loss to the Western Force and is among a number of stars including Kurtley Beale, Adam Ashley-Cooper and Michael Hooper hoping to be cleared for Waratahs selection.
