Pope calls for reconciliation in Sri Lanka

Pope Francis says Sri Lanka needs to reveal the truth about what happened during the long war against Tamil separatist rebels that ended in 2009.

Pope Francis says Sri Lanka needs to reveal the truth about what happened during the long war against Tamil separatist rebels that ended in 2009.

In remarks at the start of a visit to Sri Lanka, he said scars between religious communities couldn't be healed while serious questions remain.
