Australia's most popular mango will be in short supply this summer, but the industry remains hopeful consumers won't be hit in the hip pocket.
A warm winter has left Kensington Pride (KP) yields down by about 20 per cent across the state, and as much as 80 per cent in some regions, according to the Australian Mango Industry Association.
"That being said, other varieties are making up for the low KP's (supply) and I'm sure mangoes will remain affordable for people this summer," AMIA Industry Development Manager Trevor Dunmall told AAP.
