Porridge star Ken Jones dies of cancer

British actor Ken Jones, best known for his role as Horrible Ives in beloved TV prison comedy Porridge, has died of bowel cancer.

British actor Ken Jones has lost his battle with bowel cancer at the age of 83.

Best known for his role as Horrible Ives in beloved TV prison comedy Porridge, Jones died at a nursing home in Prescott, England on Thursday.

He also appeared in TV hits The Liver Birds, Casualty and Peak Practice. Jones was married to actress Sheila Fay until her death in August.

His funeral will be held on Monday.
