AFL club Port Adelaide have axed ruckman Jarrad Redden.

The 16-gamer battled knee injuries in recent seasons and was among eight players to be dropped on Thursday from Port's list.

The club's games-record holder Kane Cornes retired mid-season while Tom Logan has also called it quits.

Port delisted five players who didn't register an AFL game - Mitch Harvey, Mason Shaw, Sam Russell, Daniel Flynn and Johann Wagner, who was selected after appearing on Fox Sport's The Recruit program.
