Port Adelaide captain Travis Boak and club champion Chad Wingard could miss Saturday's AFL encounter with St Kilda.

Boak is battling an ankle injury and Wingard was concussed in Port's win against Melbourne last Saturday.

Utility Matt White (foot) also faces a fitness test later in the week, along with Dom Cassisi (knee) and Angus Monfries (ankle) who both missed the Melbourne match.

Skipper Boak completed the game against the Demons but may be sidelined to recover from a lingering ankle complaint, Port's high performance manager Darren Burgess says.

"We'll keep a close eye on Boaky. Yes, he played out the game, but we don't want to run the risk of losing our captain to a serious injury," Burgess told the club's website on Monday.

Wingard will be monitored after being stretchered off with concussion.

"We think he should be available to play but we do need to be careful with concussions," Burgess said.
