Port clear White for Freo final

Port Adelaide coach Kern Hinkley has cleared forward Matt White to play, despite a crack jaw, in Saturday's AFL semi-final against Fremantle.

Port Adelaide spark Matthew White has survived brutal testing on his broken jaw to make the cut for Saturday's AFL semi-final against Fremantle.

White was knocked about at training on Wednesday night to convince coach Ken Hinkley a cracked jaw won't bother the forward in the knockout final.

"There is always that slight danger that you could get another hit and do some more damage, but there is always that danger in every game we play," Hinkley told reporters at Adelaide Airport on Thursday.

"I'm really confident. And Matty is really confident, that is the key message, he's really confident and ready to play so we'll take him over and see how he goes."

White's inclusion leaves Port unchanged from the side that trounced Richmond in an elimination final.

Port boarded their plane to Perth with three emergencies - Kane Mitchell, Aaron Young and Jarman Impey.

"We don't have to take any risks ... we can have a full complement over there," Hinkley said.

"We will go with an unchanged 22 from last week."
