Port deny bid for Crow Walker

Port Adelaide deny they're planning a bid to lure Taylor Walker from

Port Adelaide deny plotting to lure Taylor Walker from arch rivals Adelaide Crows.

Power coach Ken Hinkley has dismissed the rumour, which swept Adelaide on Thursday.

"He's a very good player, I know that," Hinkley told reporters on Friday.

"I'm sure (Crows coach Brenton Sanderson) Sando would like to keep him in Adelaide's colours though."

Walker, out of contract at the end of next season, was said to be on Port's hit list of key forward recruits.

"It's good for people to talk about but Tex (Walker) is not coming to Port Adelaide," Hinkley said.

"I reckon he's playing at Adelaide.

"We talk facts here. That is the good thing. We stay in the reality, we talk about what is actually going on.

"We don't tiptoe around the edges ... if we have got something to talk about, we actually tell you people and we tell our players as well.

"So we don't go and play little games and secrets."
