'Powder scare' forces closure of McDonald's in Sydney's Circular Quay

A fast-food restaurant at Sydney's Circular Quay has been evacuated after a letter containing powder was found.

HAZMAT teams are examining suspicious white powder that forced the evacuation of a fast-food outlet at Sydney's Circular Quay.

The restaurant was evacuated shortly before 2pm on Monday after the powder was discovered in a letter.

Diners were allowed back in around 4pm and investigations continue.
