Power pole crash kills Qld man

Queensland police are investigating what caused a vehicle to crash into a power pole north of Brisbane, leaving a 20-year-old man dead.

A man has died after the vehicle he was travelling in crashed into a power pole in Maleny, north of Brisbane.

Police say the 20-year-old Mapleton man died immediately after the vehicle slammed into the pole at about 7.20pm (AEST) on Tuesday.

The 20-year-old male driver was taken to Nambour General Hospital with minor injuries.
