Pre-selection process overstated: Morrison

Treasurer Scott Morrison has labelled the NSW Liberal Party pre-selection process "overstated", saying it's up to colleagues if they will run again.

Treasurer Scott Morrison says it's up to his NSW Liberal colleagues Bronwyn Bishop, Philip Ruddock and Bill Heffernan to decide whether to contest the next federal election.

Mr Morrison rejected claims of infighting, saying the party was going through the normal pre-selection process ahead of the 2016 poll.

"I think these things have been quite overstated and the party will just get on with its process," he told ABC radio on Friday.
