Prices to drop on some imported IT goods

The federal government has introduced a bill that proposes to gradually get rid of customs duty on a range of technology products.

The federal government on Thursday introduced a new bill to parliament that would gradually reduce customs duty on certain information technology items to nothing as early as 2019.

They include some audio speakers, printing inks, particular machinery and electronic components.
